    Ⅲ.  Physical-chemical properties

    1. Appearance: white or off-white powder, odorless and tasteless.

    2. Particle size: the passage rate of 100 meshes is more than 98.5%; and 80 meshes is 100%.

    3. Apparent density: 0.30-0.60g/cm3.

    4. Solubility: It is soluble in water and some organic solvents. It can be dissolved in cold water. And solubility varies with the viscosity. The lower the viscosity, the higher  the solubility. HEMC with the surface treatment will disperse in cold water, not to agglomerate, and slowly dissolve. However, if the pH value is adjusted to 8-10, it can be quickly dissolved.

    5. HEMC has lots of functions such as thickening, suspension, dispersion, emulsion, film, adhesive and water retention. Its water holding capacity is better than methyl cellulose, and its viscosity stability, mildew resistance, and dispensability is better than hydroxyethyl cellulose.

    6. PH stability: The viscosity of water solution is almost not affected by acid or alkali. PH value is stable in the range of 2~12.

    Ⅳ.  Main application

    1. Cement mortar: With its thixotropy and easy to close, mortar has a pumping. At the same time, it can improve the ability of resisting vertical flow and high water retention. Also it can prolong the working time of mortar and help form high mechanical strength of mortar in solidification.

    2. Gypsum plaster and gypsum products: As a binder, its thixotropy and coagulation can improve and extend the operational time of painting. With its water retention, the slurry after smearing will not dry too fast and crack, but increase strength after hardening.

    3. Masonry mortar can enhance adhesion with the surface and ability to retent water, so as to increase the strength of cement mortar. It also can increase the lubrication and plasticity to improve the performance of construction

    4. Plate filler: With excellent water retention, lubricity, high resistance to shrinkage and crack resistance, it can provide smooth and uniform texture of the material to ensure the bonding surface adhesion.

    5. Ceramic industry: It is widely used as a binder in the manufacture of ceramic products.

    6. Self-leveling floor material: With its improved fluidity and pumpability, it can improve the efficiency of grounding, control water retention, thus greatly reduce the cracking and shrinkage.

    7. Extrusion of formed concrete plate: With high adhesive strength and lubrication, it can enhance processing properties of extrusion products. It can improve wet strength and adhesiveness after extrusion.

Ⅴ.  Method for dissolution and usage

    1. Get the needed hot water 1/3 or 2/3 and heat to boiling, then add HEMC to get hot water slurry. After that, add the left cold water and keep stirring to cool, and then obtain the mixture.

    2. Dry mixed use: Due to excellent compatibility of HEMC, it can be conveniently mixed with cement, gypsum powder, pigment and filler to achieve the expected results.

Ⅵ.  Attentions for package, storage and transportation

Paper-plastic bag lined with polyethylene plastic bags or cardboard packaging, each bag (barrel) net weight: 25kg, sealed storage. Avoid the sun and rain and moisture during storage and transportation.
